Use an Empty Printer Cartridge All Over Again

In case of printers and cartridges, people prefer only OEM products. It is short for 'Original Equipment Manufacturer'. Every company that makes a printer also makes the cartridge to go along with it. As the companies abide by all standards to make a single cartridge with great precision, there is no doubt at all regarding the performance. The quality of printing is flawless, but it also demands a high price. All printer cartridges are a bit expensive, mostly because manufacturers are aware that an OEM product will be bought only once by the customer, i.e.; at the time of buying the printer. Another big argument with empty printer products is that - what is the amount of ink left over in a cartridge? In most cases when a printer shuts down due to low ink, it normally has about 40% of ink still left in the product. Hence, it can be concluded that brands do not make money from selling printers, but from original cartridges. What do people when their empty printer cartridge becomes non-printable even with the existence of 40% of ink left inside? More than 40% people throw that away. Others remove it and keep it at home. Why don't we think about recycling that used and empty product? Let us get answers to some myths about recycling. A reprocessed cartridge is the answer. All reprocessed products were once OEM products. But after use, Instead of flinging a usable and durable plastic into landfill, it was utilized by another company to be refurbished it to be used again. MYTH: some people have a myth that reassembled cartridge are inferior. A good re manufacturer will start with disassembling the empty printer cartridge, clean it either with a wet cloth or a brush, then test the product before replacing damaged parts and then starts refilling the toner. MYTH: Are re-manufactured printer cartridges safe to use? Reassembled cartridges are more environmentally friendly. This process includes recycling Used Printer Cartridge rather than adding more chemicals to it. Secondly, these are cheaper than the OEM ones. If a high standard is maintained in re manufacturing, these are as good as the original ones in terms of print quality, printer warranty, page yield etc. MYTH: Are Re-manufactured cartridges made by refilling the old ones? Not Really. Reproduced go through at least one cycle of service. These raw products are meticulously cleaned. The parts which can't be used anymore are replaced and loaded with fresh ink or toner mix. Microchips are substituted to ensure proper functioning. These are then inspected for any leakage and tested by simulation methods of actual print test. Those re-manufactured ones that are processed by abiding ISO standards are then released to the market. This no longer remains an empty printer cartridge, but now become a new one. Well, the most important question is the quality of the re manufacturer process of refurbishing. If the re manufacturer defaults, the quality of printing will also face a setback. Hence, know and understand a re manufacturing process before you buy your re-manufactured cartridge.
